Where I’m At Now

If you really want to know what is taking all my time these days, it is exploring the web and the virtual world.
I remember a time when I was a small girl, looking up at the stars. The papers were full of UFO visitations and reports. I diligently collected them into a scrap book, trying to imagine what the different worlds would be like. I would stand out in the dark with my thumb out to hitch a ride if I thought that it would give me a way to explore these other worlds. After all these years of unsuccessfully seeing other worlds, I settled for the worlds of narrative story and trying to show students the power that they have to create their own world, using the fulcum of language and the lever of argument. However, now—now we can go to other worlds via the internet. The thrill of exploration draws me deeper and deeper.
